The Umidigi Z2 falls into the category of the most beautiful Chinese phones currently available. With its 6, 2 inch screen, a ratio of more than 85% between the screen is the size of the phone, a 19/9 screen, and a glass surface at the back, it takes all the stylistic codes of the most beautiful modern smartphones.
Behind the scenes is a MediaTek Helio p23 processor. The latter ranks in the very good entry-level. It will allow you to do almost anything you want including playing video games. 4GB of RAM supports everything and gives it a certain future.
We were happy to see that umidigi places its entry-level phone on Android 8. 1. Indeed, initially I would have imagined that only the umidigi Z2 pro has Android Oreo. But this is not the case. They did not make the same mistake as on the umidigi S2 generation.
The screen is very beautiful. You will see it side by side with the Oneplus 6 in my video. It is very difficult to differentiate between the two. Finally it is especially the brightness that will be missing when you want to push it to the maximum and you are outside in full sun.
As usual, it's the camera that separates smartphones. Two days, the photos and videos are really good. The accuracy of the 16 megapixel sensor is impeccable. It is also difficult to compete in this segment. On the other hand, at night, the photo sensor is not brilliant. The umidigi Z2 is compatible with the French 4G 19:27. It supports the 700, 800, 1800, 2100 and 2600 MHz bands used in France. It is also compatible Wifi AC 5ghz.
Overall, the Umidigi Z2 and a very good smartphone that I recommend. It has all the advantages of a modern smartphone that you will not regret. However, the only downside is still the same, the photo becomes a handicap when the lighting comes down.
